Climate Week Zurich 2026 kicked off with an Opening Ceremony that brought together changemakers from across business, science, policy, finance, culture, and civil society.

Hosted at the iconic Zurich Opera House in the heart of the city, this launch set the pace for an impactful week ahead –⁠ spotlighting key themes and catalysing the dialogue needed to accelerate climate action. The programme featured keynote addresses, fireside chats, and panel discussions with international climate leaders, complemented by invigorating artistic moments.

#Movethedate festival

On Saturday at the popular Josefareal, #MoveTheDate and CWZ hosted a full day of inspiration, exploration, hands‑on climate action!

The festival welcomed everyone interested in discovering solutions and meeting innovators, joining guided tours and workshops, and exchanging ideas of how to shape a more sustainable future – all while enjoying theme‑inspired music, shops, art, and food & drinks.

It’s a vibrant, accessible space where climate ambition becomes everyday action, and everyone is part of the conversation.

Closing Ceremony

Right in front of the train station on the Europaallee that hosts cafés and shops, modern workplaces and urban gardens, the Exhibition Centre brought CWZ's climate solutions and innovation to life.

Throughout the week, visitors explored interactive showcases by business and community initiatives driving tangible climate action. It’s a space designed for discovery and connection – and some fun!
