Climate Week Zurich held its inaugural edition from 4-9 May 2026, uniting 244 partner organisations of all sectors and sizes to host more than 270 events across the city. Initial analyses indicate that CWZ 2026 attracted over 15,000 participations.
From a geographic perspective, almost 20% were from outside Switzerland, joining from 70 different countries. Among Switzerland‑based participations, two‑thirds came from the Zurich region and one‑third from other Swiss regions.
This makes Climate Week Zurich already in its inaugural edition the largest climate and sustainability platform in mainland Europe!
Save the date: from 10 to 15 May 2027, Climate Week Zurich will be back even stronger!

Take a look back all the 270+ events that took place from 4 to 9 May 2026: Events Calendar.
Main programme events are the handful of events hosted centrally by the CWZ team throughout the week. At the heart of Climate Week Zurich are the 270+ events that all partner organisations are hosting: these can be found in our complete Events Calendar, with some events being featured on the separate Featured Events or Blog pages.
A majority of the events are in English, and many others in German. The language in which the event is displayed in ithe Events Calendar is the main language in which the event takes place. Please check the registration page for each other for more details (e.g. some events, like the #MoveToDate Festival on Saturday, are multi-lingual).
CWZ hosts a large variety of events formats, languages, and audiences. A majority of the events are free to attend - but you have to 'buy' a ticket by going through the registration process. Some of the events are limited to invite-only, others are paid events. Please consult the details on each of the event registration pages.
Climate Week Zurich isn't just a conference – it’s a city-wide takeover featuring hundreds of events hosted by partnering organisations across the city. Please check each event’s registration page for the exact location. When you register for an event, you will also receive a confirmation e-mail reiterating event details including time and location.
Though most events will take place in the city of Zurich and can be reached by foot and tram, please note that some events may take place further away (noted in the event registration page).
